It's so fraught with retardation and in some instances, truly odd humor, not to mention the "meh, we're making a movie for ya" tone, that it completely won me over. I'd like more comedies like this one, please.

when The State first came out, i couldn't believe that there were enough people with my sense of humor to make it marketable, so i have a soft spot in my heart for ken marino, michael showalter, joe trugglio, et al.

and yeah, this movie had some profoundly dumb moments. so dumb i couldnt help but be charmed. i dont think it shows the very best my childhood comedy heroes were capable of, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. comforting like a bowl of miso soup.
