Funky social commentary tracks. Based on the samples I have heard, I look forward to hearing this entire album, laughing, and maybe masturbating a little.

Nine Inch Nails -Year Zero
If this album is half as brilliant as its viral marketing campaign, it will easily be my favorite NIN effort to date. The exterior and interior design is lovely and every one of you should call the phone number on the back: 1.866.445.6580 *giggle*

My Brightest Diamond -Bring Me the Workhorse
Saw this powerhouse of a band light up the stage, opening for The Decemberists.

My Brightest Diamond -Tear It Down
Another offering from My Brightest Diamond. I’m really grooving on this fantastic woman’s voice, the lush and quirky orchestration and the sultry sugar-coated melodies. She seems to have a thing for horses.

The Decemberists -Her Majesty
I tried so hard to dislike The Decemberists. I’m not sure why. Maybe because I loathe the self-consciouly erudite fans that lick their taints regularly. That said, I have a weakness for sea shanties and maritime references. I also like lyricists who use obscure, precocious vocabularies with a devil-may-care attitude of frivolity.

The Decemberists -Castaways and Cutouts
The cover art for this one is simply gorgeous. I would love a large, framed copy of that. I would also love a pirate ship of my very own. Can any of you hook me up?

Motoyoshi Oda -Godzilla Raids Again
The sequel to the original Gojira and the first time that the Big Green Guy fought another guy in a giant monster suit. If I have time this afternoon, I intend to rope my boyfriend into watching Godzilla and Anguirus lay waste to Osaka, roll around and be generally swankified.
