Let's discuss this image.
How do you feel about the overall sentiment? Dead on? Too far? Old hat?
Do you think that the (apparent) soldier holding the flag is the person who created it, or is he simply displaying it?
Does he agree with what the flag says?
Do I spy urine stains on the flag?
Go on, have at it.

I have been inspired lately by the well-wishes and activism of many of my friends from overseas and domestically, who are brainstorming new ways to save the world from the United States and save the States from ourselves. To that end, I have made a new podcast, entirely devoted to American political and protest music. Some of it is funny. Some of it is upsetting, but I think all of it is important.
Even if you don't care for podcasts, or think that the music may not be your thing, I ask that you just download and listen to this one podcast this one time. Even if the tunes aren't your style, I hope that the lyrics are and that you will listen to it all the way through.
This is very important to me.
It's very important to me that people, particularly those abroad, see that there are many of us in America, who are trying our damndest to stop this madness.

As always, feedback is welcomed and encouraged. You're also encouraged to link to this. With most of the podcasts, I just let them propagate themselves, but I really want THIS one to spread.

Plain and Simple: Homosexuality is a Choice
So much of the sexuality debate in this country, in terms of issues of civil rights, civil marriage, workplace equality and gay families has been impingent upon the question as to whether or not homosexuality is a choice or is innate. The advocates of the pro-gay stance have almost exclusively maintained that homosexuality is not a choice, that gay people are “born that way,” and this is an unchangeable, connatural state. This assertion, as any gay person knows in their heart if not their speech, is utter pretense.

Today, the Fourth of July, is the greatest of the American patriotic holidays. Thanks to the superior American educational system, I can hold my head high and say that I know the history of this fine day in glorious detail. I’m sure that my fellow Americans – having been blessed by that same, great educational complex - also know it well, but for the benefit of our foreign friends, I present to you a summary:
